I got a free set of used tires that I need to get mounted and balanced. Obviously the firestones and discount tires of the world wont touch it or will be $$$. Any good recommendations on where to go?

Local vocational high school auto shop program is where I go.

Browse CL for tire ads that say mount and balance included. I didn’t meet my tire guy through CL but he does have ads on there.

I have a Junkyard near me that is only $15 a rim. And discount tire has always been cheapest of the big tire stores for me. (No dismount charge)

Don’t give them business if they advertise on Craigslist in the “by owner” section. Tire curbstoners / mechanics business are dealers.

Walmart that has the auto dept will do it but I think you have to bring the wheels and tires in off the car unless your buying new from them (corp rules). So if you can jack up one side a knock out two at a time not to bad and they charge like 15 a piece.
